Manual Control Shaft Seal Kit TH350 TH400 700R4 Shift Linkage
I purchased this kit because having replaced the shift shaft seal on several of these transmissions they didn't always stop leaking. Even though I have never seen where any seal wore on the shaft, I once tried a kit that included a wear sleeve to go over the shaft where the seal rides. That didn't work either. When I saw this kit, it made sense the shaft was loose in it's bore so the seal would be distorted causing it to leak. And it made sense the nylon washer would hold the shaft straight so the seal would not leak.
